Sahar Hakimi, B.Sc., R.Ac, A.D.S.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, Sahar studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Edmonton, Alberta. The intense three year program combined an excellent balance of modern and traditional medicinal theory, diagnosis, and treatment. Sahar has continued to expand her TCM therapeutic knowledge after graduation by becoming an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist under the internationally renowned NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Program). This specialization allowed her to work at the Vancouver Detox and Daytox Clinic where nicotine, alcohol, and drug addicts were treated using acupuncture and group therapy. Sahar is currently involved in an extensive study by the University of British Columbia, testing the effects of acupuncture on substance abusing pregnant women in the process of withdrawal.

Facial rejuvenation and weight control through acupuncture are other areas of Sahar’s great expertise. Returning and maintaining the body into a state of balance, energetically and emotionally, is the basis of all disorders from a TCM perspective. Her experience, extensive knowledge and true love for healing are evident in every treatment.
